Credit Card Q&A
Q: What types of credit cards will be accepted?
A: Stampin’ Up! will accept Mastercard and Visa cards.
Q: Will Stampin' Up! accept a customer's debit card?
A: Stampin’Up! will accept Visa Debit cards only.
Q: Will Stampin’ Up! accept other types of debit cards in the future?
A: We will evaluate this for the future.
Q: Can customers use multiple forms of payment on one order?
A: Yes. Under each customer's payment information, you can enter two different forms of payment, if desired.
Q: Can a hostess pay for a customer's order?
A: Yes, the hostess's credit card would need to be entered on that customer's payment information.
Q: What are a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator's security responsibilities when handling customers' credit cards?
A: When a customer selects to pay by credit card, she needs to fill out the order form completely. She will need to select whether the Demonstrator is authorised to process her card for one order only, or if she wants her information to be stored for future purchases. Credit card regulations do restrict the re-access to information on paper once it's used, so after a Demonstrator has entered the credit card information on the ordering system, all but the last four digits of the credit card number on the Demonstrator's copy of the credit card form must be blacked out.
Q: Is the CVV number required when processing the customer’s card payment details?
A: No.
Q: If the customer authorises her credit card information to be saved in the order system, how will it be stored?
A: The Demonstrator will need to create a separate Customer Payment Profile for each customer who authorises her information to be stored. Once this information is saved, it cannot be modified in any way; it can only be deleted and a new one added. Only one card can be saved for each customer, and it will automatically be deleted when the card expires.
Q: What safety measures does Stampin' Up! use to protect credit card information?
A: Stampin' Up! employs strict security measures and certified security technology to protect credit card information. Credit card information is scrambled and encrypted, and customer information is stored on disk, and not the web server. Customers can feel confident that their information is safe when it is processed through Stampin' Up!
